We partner with you to keep your pet happy & healthy!
Welcome to Kensington Veterinary Hospital, a clinic that has a long tradition of providing quality care to owners and their pets in our very special community in the east bay.
As a pet owner myself, since childhood, I know how important it is to have a trusted partner to help keep my pets happy and healthy.
My years of education and experience are built on a foundation of love and affinity for all animals. It is my mission to bring care and comfort to pets and their families.
I studied at the University of California at Davis for both my undergraduate work in neurology, physiology and biochemistry and my graduate degree in veterinary medicine.
My areas of expertise include small animal medicine with a focus on internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology and surgery.
The most important relationship for me -- and my team -- is with you. It is our job to communicate clearly what preventive measures can be taken to keep your pet healthy. In the event that your pet needs more than preventive care, our job is to explain all your treatment options so that you can make a fully informed decision about what steps to take.
My team and I are committed to providing compassionate care and communicating with honesty and empathy. I look forward to being your partner for years to come. - Dr. Beth Phimister

KVH was great on the phone and was able to get us in right away. When I first walked in, the first thing I noticed was an immaculately clean office and friendly front desk staff. I think Addie at the reception desk is the epitome of competent/friendly/warm/a great hostess/empathic/efficient.

I have been taking my cat to the Kensington Vet Hospital for years, and every experience has been fantastic. Both Dr. Beers and Dr. Phimister have been incredibly compassionate, professional, and reasonable in their treatment ... when our cat died suddenly a few weeks ago, we arrived home one day to find that Kensington Vet Hospital had sent a beautiful orchid and card to my home, sending their condolences, I was so touched.
